Although the scene seems 'normal', another character will join the scene and discriminate the others because of how they are presented as (LGBTQI+). I want to create a pleasing environment in the first half of the film, whereas the second half shows the nature of events more realistically- this being a not so pleasant and comforting environment.

Interest- I am going to create a relatable situation that many LGBTQ+ individuals will be able to relate to or understand. By creating an identifiable situation, it should definitely capture the target audience's attention- this is before turning the situation in a negative truth.

Desire- The feeling of happiness and conventional would be first established in the promotional video- setting the scene of a group of friends who are hanging out/ in a public environment. This scene should be enchanting but uncanny, as the environment of a typical hang out with friends is there but the events taking place soon after are also involved. Once the scene has been established, the emotion changes from cheerful and carefree to destructive,  heart-breaking and overwhelming.

Action- after viewing the video,  audience members should feel shocked and gain knowledge and understanding of the social challenges and disadvantages that many LGBTQ+ individuals face. The film starts with a bright and vibrant scene. A group of friends are walking across a footpath. The camera will then pan to an onlooker behind the group of friends. The scenery will be in a public space. The lighting will make the scene bright and warms, making a comforting vibe. The music played during this scene is very joyful and blissful. 
The camera is panning across the scene, capturing all of the action taking place. The camera will  slowly pan out to another character. The scene has now changed with the previous characters in dire shock and confusion. The camera will remain on the events until the group of friends run off in which case the camera follows. 

The ending will have both perspectives (group of friends and the other character) which will fade to black. The colours which best convey these emotions are dull and faint (perhaps using muted natural colours and greys). During the first week of working on this assignment, I had to come up with a list of 80 possible things that I could promote. While doing this task I found thinking of the possible things somewhat challenging as I would often be stuck on what I could promote.

Week 2-
During this week I had to find 3 sources as well as 3 video annotated video sources. I also had to research my message and find inspiring sources that would further help me with this assignment.  With this task I found it hard to find 3 video sources that would inspire my promotional video.

Week 3-
During the week I finished of my annotated bibliography and academic resources.

Week 4-
During week 4, I focused on brainstorming my message using a mind map. I focused on the impacts and challenges socially on the LGBTQ+ community. I also worked on the treatment of my message and identified, and crafted the messaged.

Week 5-
This week i begun researching fonts, tone and the colour palette for this assignment.
