She is able to arrange shapes in order from smallest to largest and can categorise them according to size and colour with growing confidence. She understands the concept of zero and can accurately form and write numbers from 0 to 10. Abongile enjoys hands-on counting activities, particularly using the abacus, where she confidently counts both in ones up to 100 and in intervals of 10. She can correctly identify quantities of counting cubes presented to her and accurately count out a specific number when asked.

She confidently recites the days of the week and months of the year in both Afrikaans and isiZulu, demonstrating excellent memorization and pronunciation skills. She also recognises and names several shapes and colours in Afrikaans. In addition, Abongile is developing strong sign language skills and can demonstrate and identify over 20 signs, showing her growing ability to communicate effectively in multiple ways.
