They will then create a collage using a variety of materials either physical or technological to create it. </p><p>As students are working allow them to talk with their neighbors about their artwork. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Learning Objective: Students will explain how their collage conveys a message or an emotion</p><p>Content Standards:</p><p>3-5.VA.4.1: Analyze or evaluate components in visual imagery that convey messages, ideas, and mood.</p><p>3-5. VA.3.1: Demonstrate proper procedures for caring for and presenting artwork.</p><p><br></p><p>Activities:</p><p>Share:</p><p>Students will share what their art work means to small groups before they share to the whole class. Students will need a name for their piece. Students will talk about what message they think is being conveyed and why, then the student will share what the message or emotion is. </p><p>Turn and Talk:</p><p>After presentations students will discuss how artwork can express emotions and messages, and how these emotions and messages can be different depending on the person who created it and who is looking at it. Have bring examples of the artwork they saw before and their classmates artwork. </p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Learning Objective: Students will be able to express why artwork is important and how it applies to the real world.</p><p>Students will be able to express why technology can be good for making art. </p><p>Content Standards:</p><p>3-5.VA.5.1: Identify how art is used to inform or change beliefs, values, or behaviors of an individual or society.</p><p><br></p><p>Activities:</p><p>Turn and Talk:</p><p>Student discuss in small groups how artwork can express information and how it can change beliefs and values. </p><p>They will discuss in small groups how technology can be good for making art.</p><p>Guided comments:</p><p>How does technology make art more accessible to more people? How were we able to see so many different collages before? Art work can make us feel things or understand new things. It is important to see art in different ways so that more people can relate to it. </p><p>Share:</p><p>Students will share their ideas on how art can change beliefs and values. </p><p>Show:</p><p>Show students the collages from before have them discuss the art with a new lens and explain why art can convey important messages. </p><p><br></p>]]></description>
