Emergency Remote Teaching: 

• The last minute shift that occurred in March of 2020  when teachers were forced last minute to teach students online due to the pandemic

• it is extremely important that our online learning spaces meet all of the unique needs of students including those who have 504s and IEPs (-> connect and communicate frequently with SPED educators and other school resources)
• online learning is so much more complex than I realized 
• online teachers should are responsible for creating the same safe, inviting, and equitable classroom space that in person teachers are expected to
• elements like consistent communication, relationship building actions, and moments to connect individually with classroom communities can really benefit an online learning space. 

"Unconventional" uses of online learning that can benefit students: 

• amplifying diverse voices of authority 
• instructing students who are absent
• bringing in more qualified teachers
• helping students become digitally literate 
• PD for teachers
