The screaming of the owl and the crying of the cricket are reactions from nature to the horrible deed being done, the murder of Duncan.

"By the clock 'tis day, and yet dark night strangles the traveling lamp. Is't night's predominance, or day's shame, that darkness does the face of the earth entomb, when living light should kiss it?"
-Act 2, Scene 4, Lines 6-10

Tragic Flaw

Macbeth's unchecked ambition is his tragic flaw that leads to his downfall. His desire for power leads to the decay of himself mentally and he slowly loses all control.

Tragic Hero

Macbeth is slowly spiraling down at this point. Lady Macbeth and Macbeth never planned to kill the servants, Macbeth is going crazy.
