Ideally it a bottom-up approach is adopted where those involved identify the training they need and those in leadership roles will ensure it is available. Different ways of how how it can be offered are to also to be considered. Face to face has its advantages but something online which maybe can be taken when one prefers in his/her own pace  has also its advantages.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I started digitalizing my classroom early enough in 2008. At first, there were just animated games I used to make in PowerPoint and play them in class. In 2009, I produced a CD and gave to students to play at home. Then, I started using smartphones as a tool to teach more English - just the texting part and using photos. <br>Finally, I ended up discovering Kahoot, Quizziz, and Quizlet and then I created classes on a free platform - <em>Edmodo </em>- back in 2018. Now, my students are no longer just <strong>consumers </strong>but <strong>creators </strong>of digital content.<br>Although I considered myself a „<em>pioneer</em>” of some sort, I would say that we are just the dawn of using technology in the classroom. There is more to learn and to perfect, as technology evolves quickly. Quicker than we can keep the pace, in fact.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I find it especially effective to share ICT methodologies and artifacts for teaching in small working groups made up of active teachers. Collaborative work to develop new activities or interdisciplinary activities is very effective. All teachers put the best of themselves and share their knowledge to improve the activities that arise in these meetings.<br><br>I worked four years ago in this way to support classmates with difficulties in gaining discipline in a classroom. And I went back to working last year in small groups to create activities related to emotionality and inclusion in the classroom.<br><br>Now is the time to do it to share ICT methodologies.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think the most foolproof method is all sorts of external training, typically compulsory with the whole staff&nbsp; getting/contributing relatively similar input. Yet, when it comes to reality as it is, most of methodical training which teachers get in my country revolves strictly around classically pedagogical issues like discipline handling, planning a good lesson, effective communication etc. These topics are and will always be relevant evergreens so to speak, but when it comes to workshops on ICT-related issues, they are harder to come by. Maybe it's because it's taken for granted these days that we all possess a kind of intuitive flair for gadgetry, apps, games and the whole gamut of copy-paste tricks. No one seems to bother that there are certain generational gaps and there are teachers who may not get a grasp of the novelty as quickly as their younger colleagues do. A few weeks ago I attended a very interesting webinar on Wakelet - a simple platform and easy to use - why a webinar on this? , some of you may ask, but the training was to explore its capacities to the max, and that's what I was there for. What I'm driving at is that a lot of research in the area of ICT CPD needs to be done by us individually. Those of you who teach English certainly know about the sessions orgranised periodically by some of the biggest ESL publishing houses - these are always a treat! But it's good to look around locally as well, there are lots of initiatives which can give us a professional upgrade, so it's good to get newsletter subscriptions from your local teacher training centre, a handful of publishers in your field etc. This kind of research takes the cooperation with colleagues to a molecular level, but everyone can bring something to the table - whether you help yourself is up to you. :)&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>All these posts from colleagues are so inspiring and it feels good to see how educators think and work for their CPD and thus show their responsibility for the future of their students. &nbsp;As I experience there should be a vision what one wants to achieve and/or change at work at first. Clear goals and mindset will help to manage ups and downs in ones learning journey. In this context I like the word ˋpresencing´. It means the ability to imagine what is important for the future. It is very helpful to share this vision with colleagues (preferably in your workplace). Then you need offers that match to your needs. One very important part is the step that comes next. You should invest time and commitment to let the ideas of a teacher training come true and try them out in your allday practice. This needs time and often one will not recognize the benefits of the training instantly. If possible there should be an evaluation of the benefits and the further needs for teacher training before one starts the next steps. This way works for me and helps to keep up my motivation!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Since the COVID pandemic started, there were more and more webinar and all different kinds of educations online, so this was the major opportunity to learn to use digital technology even you haven't used it so far. But even before COVID, after 2016. Croatia entered the educational system reform which required more and more education on digital technologies and we've done it via MOOC systems. this was the first real opportunity to learn something new and to encourage yourself to use digital resources and make ones too, even if you've never done it before. So, whoever wanted to learns something new and to improove its everyday work, there were plenty of opportunities to do so. I took all of those chances and I am happy about it!</div>]]></description>

In Greece most teachers have been trained by the Ministry of Education in New Technologies.<br></strong><br></div><div><strong>Because of the pandemic and the need for distance learning, teachers have had to adapt to the new situation. For this reason, teachers have attended many seminars organised by the school and other institutions, such as universities, in order to be able to meet the needs of distance education.<br></strong><br></div>]]></description>

Accumulating new information, training is not stopped once the exams are over, and the person who has learned to love continuous learning will be able to take their education into their own hands.<br>We can thus say that "education is like an art; a greater art than this<br>there is no art greater than this, for if all the arts are useful for the world to come, the art of education is for the world to come" (Ioan Hrisostom).<br>Starting from the variety of learning situations, we move towards a lifelong education towards a lifelong process of personal, social, and professional development in order to improve the quality of life, expected results.<br>In order to stand in front of the class every day with the right mentality, the teacher needs resources, a wellspring of new ideas, which helps him not to become sour, not to dry up. Finding the right ways to energize the work and harmonize values within the organization is more effective if the members of the organization become directly involved in personal training. A good teacher needs thorough specialist, psycho-pedagogical and methodological training, and must possess a number of qualities: openness, receptiveness to change, communicative, flexible, dynamic, empathetic, creative, diplomatic, with high moral qualities, and a love of children. Effective teaching and learning is another characteristic of a good teacher.<br>Continuous training, whether through self-training or through<br>training programs are what enable teachers to<br>to acquire new knowledge in the field, in methodology and pedagogy, to learn skills.</div>]]></description>

That's why I expect SELFIE for TEACHERS to spur us teachers to seek CPD in the pedagogical use of technology. I have reflected on the questions in this highly promising tool myself and got invaluable insight of all the areas of my teaching practice I can improve  (ideally in a peer-learning context). A very good kick-off activity might be to study the SELFIE reports in a team of colleagues who trust each other and share the same vision, identify strengths and weaknesses and seek practices that work to collaboratively experiment with.  </div>]]></description>

Also, teachers can to choose which one they want to study and for how long.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Teachers are at the heart of the digital transformation and therefore need continuous training and education themselves, which must include modules on age-appropriate teaching practices; this training takes time and should not be an additional task in addition to their daily activities; teaching other basic skills such as numerical and literacy skills, teaching digital skills requires teachers to continuously update their knowledge and skills; teachers need adequate, flexible and high-quality professional development that meets their needs.There is a need to change the institutional and pedagogical practices of schools and other learning environments, especially non-formal ones, which need to become more equitable, offering very diverse and in-depth support structures to all people, especially those in groups, exposed to the risk of exclusion.<br>Since the pandemic, each of us I think, at least this is the way I proceeded, spent long hours in night watching tutorials about different platforms and all free of charge Conferences and seminars which include digital tools or other practices, to learn how to use them. Moreover, I had to show and explain to my students how to use the appropriate tools. The school does not have a budget in this respect, consequently, each uf us had to manage somehow.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I think that effective continuing professional development takes place with positive outcomes if it is developed considering these aspects:<br>- if a teacher is aware of the essential efficacy and strength of digital technology in integrating other classroom didactic approaches and strategies ( which in my opinion are still enormously fundamental)<br>- if teachers accept the challenge to learn to use some of the variety of digital tools, e few at first and and explore others afterwards.<br>- if teachers use their time ( even in informal moments -as we are used to do in Italy) to to share what they using and learning with other colleagues and ITC experts present at school.<br>- if the school Principal and his/her staff believes in the importance of the pedagogical benefits of using these tools in classroom activities and constantly involves teachers in professional development.<br>In my personal experiences, for example, as i was very curious about the use pf digital tools ( Genially, Kahoot,Padlet , virtual reality) in cooperative learning and in flipped classroom approach in fostering and practicing the use of English language, already five years ago I attended a course managed by a colleague expert in the matter.<br>Then I tried to practice what I had learned with my students, I shared my experience with any expert colleagues fo my school, especially the ones who teach scientific subjects, who are more mentally suitable to t matter.<br>Finally, after these ideas and practice sharing I felt a little bit more confident in using and exploring other tools, like Edmondo.<br>Recently, also school educational gateway courses are contributing to widening my horizon of many more interesting digital tools effective in education.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Many teachers, including me, were trained, but each individual was not a unitary program from the school, to train the entire teaching staff in this regard.
