Estoy visitando costa rica por una semana entera porque estoy de vacaciones de verano . Estoy con mi mamá y papá y nos vamos a quedar en un hermosa hotel. Hoy hemos desayunado y hemos estado en la playa todo el día. Las playas aquí son tan hermosas. Ahora mismo vamos a cenar , vamos a un restaurante llamado Que Rico. La comida era muy buena y ahora después de un largo día de diversión nos vamos a dormir. Mañana vamos a visitar muchos más lugares como Manuel Antonio National Park y Tortuguero National Park. No puedo esperar, debería ser muy divertido. También no puedo esperar para ir de compras y comprar cosas nuevas. Este viaje va a ser genial.

Por ejemplo la escuela es muy diferente allí como la cantidad de clases que tiene y los alimentos que come. Las veces que entra en la escuela y las veces que salen de la escuela también son diferentes. También la cantidad de años que toma son diferentes. Los alimentos en Costa Rica no son lo mismo como la comida en los Estados Unidos. La gente en costa rica habla español y comen comida española como pupusas, tamales y también tortillas. Aquí en los Estados Unidos la mayoría comemos hamburguesas hotdogs y papas fritas. La cultura de Costa Rica es muy diferente y la ropa que usan también es diferente. Las mujeres usan vestidos de color  y los hombres usan pantalones largos y camisas de manga larga. En Costa Rica para pagar por cosas no usas dólares usas algo llamado colones. Las estaciones y el clima son muy diferentes en Costa Rica.  Es muy interesante cómo la gente en Costa Rica viven en comparación con la forma en que yo vivo.

What I find interesting and exciting about the Costa Rican culture is how my culture can relate to it like the music and foods we eat and also about the small differences between our cultures. If I continue to study the Spanish language I would like to learn how to talk about medical stuff in Spanish since I want to be a doctor. I know how to say many things in Spanish but there is still many words in English I don't know the meaning of so when I study to be a doctor those words I learn in English I would like to translate them in Spanish as well. With taking an online course comes with a lot of responsibility and I realize that now. One thing I liked about the course is that you can learn at your own pace with zero distractions. One thing I did not like about the summer course is that we had to learn the material really fast. I can improve on doing more work ahead of time instead of waiting until the last minute. One thing that helped me learn more Spanish in this course is reviewing and taking my time on the quizzes and  to make sure I understood everything and not to make a silly mistake. One thing I can improve on my own with the Spanish language is to talk more in Spanish and listen to more Spanish music and listen to the lyrics and that will get me used to the language with also helping me learn new words. One thing that my instructor did to help me with my learning is that she continuously checked up on me and gave me a lot of feedback on my work that I turned in. There was absolutely nothing that my instructor already didn't do that would have helped me.
