Science - An organized way of using evidence to learn about the natural world

Observation - Data gathered by using your senses

Data - The information gathered from an observation

Quantitative data - Expressed as numbers, Obtained by counting or measuring

Qualitative data - Descriptive and involves characteristics that can’t be easily measured. 

Inference- An inference is a conclusion based on evidence and reasoning. 

Bias - Rooted in values or opinions

Hypothesis -A proposed scientific explanation for a set of observations.

Scientific method - Method of asking a question, forming a hypothesis, doing research, making observations, and finding a conclusion to your hypothesis

Skeptical - not easily convinced, having doubts.

What is the difference between a scientific theory and a hypothesis? - A scientific theory is an explanation that unifies a broad range of ideas. A hypothesis is a proposed scientific explanation for a set of observations. So a scientific theory is based on multiple ideas, a hypothesis is based on observations.
