In this activity, I was asked to think about what makes life meaningful and for me that involves my relationships. This includes me relationships with my family, friends, colleagues, and students. I consider myself an extremely loyal friend and I believe I have used this trait to helps others overcome obstacles. For my life to be meaningful in the future, I hope to still have strong connections with the people that I work with and act as a person of support for my family and friends.

An event that changed the way I think and behave was when I stood up for myself at work. The person I would work with would always tell me what to do and make me feel like I wasn't good enough and I couldn't do a good enough job. Until I told him I can do it and to let me do my own work at my station and he should stay at his station. This has helped me with other situations where I have to stand up for myself and be more confident. An influence that changed how I think and behave would be the lifestyle I have. It has made me appreciate what I have and not to be greedy. Living in easton has made me get used to a slow paced lifestyle, unlike in the city and high populated areas that is very fast paced and rowdy. When something does get stressful and fast paced it becomes hard to keep up, but that is something I need to get used to.

This activity asked me to draw an few images, one of a tree, a house, and a person. My drawings were simple, not many details. The activity instructed to use no colors or outside influence for the image just the first thing that came to mind. After I created the drawings, I was told to look at the article and analyze my drawings. The analyzations were specific and what I discovered was if I drew my house in a certain position, side of the paper, or detail then it meant something about my personality. I did not agree with the analysis compared to myself personally, but it was consistent and straightforward. I believe it is an interesting way to analyze someone's behavior and thinking using such a simple activity.

I noticed that she drank water, checked her phone, stretched, yawn, and get a snack. I believe that the best habit was to drink water because it's healthy and very good for you to stay hydrated. I also said that checking her phone was the worst habit that she has in the 5-10 minutes because by checking your phone a lot it lowers your attention span as well as your mental capacity.

It then had me read an article about my drawing which would relate my drawing to how i drew it and my feelings. My drawing was very bland and did not take much effort, but to the article it said that my drawing portrayed my character as being insecure, childish, and feeling rejected, which for me is not the case. I believe that the article was random and did not have any scientific background.

In the activity, I got a quick psychoanalysis based on my drawing of a tree, a house, and a person. My results suggested that I am adaptive, ambitious, and optimistic, but it also suggested that I’m withdrawn, hesitant, and honest. While some of these traits overlap, there are also clear contradictions which lead me to believe that this was not a very accurate analysis. However, even though my results seemed random and I didn’t completely agree with them, I realized that I do exhibit some of the contrasting traits depending on the situations or circumstances I am in. Overall, this was a fun activity and I think the idea that a drawing could reflect my personality is very interesting.

I believe that to live a meaningful life, I must create a balance of how I prioritize my own happiness, as well as how I will contribute positivity into the world. Whether it is evident or not, people silently deal with negative aspects of their own life, and showing signs of kindness and positivity can completely turn around their day. You cannot control others, but you can control yourself and no harm is done through acts of kindness. Knowing that I was able to contribute this into others' lives would allow me to feel as if my life was meaningful.

This activity was for the most part accurate. It was suggested that I am a social person, and not afraid to be myself. It also stated that I am more childish, along with straight forward and honest. I believe all of these are pretty accurate and believe this perspective can say a lot about a person. However, I did get a few results assuming I could be sad, withdrawn, or stressed which I do not believe are true.

I believe a meaningful life incorporates being surrounded by the people who love and care about you, and achieving all your goals. I also believe how you impact the world, results in how meaningful your life is. It does not have to be something huge, but a small thing like making changes towards a better environment still makes an impact. For my own life to be meaningful, I need to be successful in the things I am passionate about and have a great group of people around me. Life is what you make of it, and how meaningful it is depends on what is important to the individual person.

The analysis ended up being partially correct which makes me think the accuracy of the analysis can be off and on. My analysis told me I was a secure person who can often be stressed and act impulsively on things. That I also can be emotionally accessible to an extent which is all basically true. The one thing throwing me off is the analysis of me feeling withdrawn and rejected at home, which is definitely not the case. I feel as though the article can have some benefits and accuracy half the time but the other half it could be completely wrong.

In the activity, I was required to explain three examples on how the following factors impact my behavior and thought process: A past experience, an outside influence, and growing up in Easton. A past experience occurred on a school field trip to an amusement park. My peers made fun of me for not going on the rides because I was petrified. Despite all the embarrassment, this motivated me to conquer my fear and go outside my comfort zone, and that is a message I try to implement in my every day life. An outside influence that greatly impacts my behavior is my friends. Their outgoing and loud attitudes allow me to find my voice behind all the shyness inside of my body. It helps me interact with others, too. Finally, living in the rather privileged and fortunate town of Easton taught me to not take things for granted and you have to work hard to gain success.

I was then told to analyze my drawing based off of a provided guide sheet. My analysis told me I am open with my feelings, honest, hyperactive, dominating/aggressive and childish. I think this analysis was really interesting because I would consider most of those points true, but not all of them. I am very honest, especially about how I am feeling, and will almost always voice my opinion even when I know no one agrees with me. I have been told that I can come off a bit aggressive, especially since I am so upfront and honest. The only point that didn't make sense was that I was childish, and hyperactive, which don't reflect my personality at all,. I think the psychodynamic perspective can either be really spot on with analysis, or way off the mark. Becuase it is seemingly so inconsistant, I don't think it is the best way to determine a person's feelings.

Here, we were instructed to provide our outlook on life and what may be a source of meaning. what are our goals as a society, and more importantly, what are my individual goals? to put it simply, i think everyone can find meaning in life to lay out a set of goals. those goals don't need to be scribed in concrete, but targeting those goals is definatly a good way to live life. its the noble aim. the more significant your aim is in life, the better your life is going to be. Humans are constructed psychologically to not feel any positive emotions unless they have an aim, and they see themselves progressing towards it. its not necessarily attaining it, because as everyone knows, as soon as they attain something, the whole game ends and they have to come up with a new one. its a very unique way of looking at things and seeing where you want to be in the future.

It made me think more about what is important to me in life and what goals I want to set. I know I want to focus on my career of wanting to become a nurse just like my grandmother. I want to be able to help people and benefit the world. I also want to have a big family and adopt some children to give them a better life than they would have had. Everyone has a different humanistic perspective based on what life they want.

In this activity, I drew a minimalistic picture of a house, a tree and a boy. I then read an article that explained the thought process of every picture possible. I analyzed my picture and saw similarities and differences between my house and the article. My house was large and centered on the page with a large door, windows and a roof. My tree was large with large leaves. Last my person was a boy with short arms and legs but a tall body. The article says if i have a large door i am "overdependent on others, need to impress" which i do not believe is true for me. It also says that if my drawing is over all large then i am aggressive, hyperactive, suspicious. which this part is mostly true. I am very hyperactive. This perspective of psychology is either right on perfect with descriptions of people or very far off.

In this activity, I drew a simple sketch of a house, a tree, and a person. I drew the house in the right near the corner, which according to the article suggests that I tend to withdraw, which is true. I was not surprised by that part of the analysis. I was also not surprised by the meaning of the very small windows I drew, which suggests that I have a lack of interest in people and am aloof. This is also true to an extent because I enjoy alone time. I disagree with the analysis of the neglect of branches in my drawing, which says that I do not enjoy relationships, which is untrue. I think this perspective can be true to an extent, but analyzing one's whole personality through a drawing is impossible.

The sociocultural activity asked me to think about different things, events, ideas, and people that have influenced my thought processes. An example of something that has influenced me is growing up in the big town but small small community of Easton. By this I mean, most people know each other and most people know each others business. If anything this has taught me that who you surround yourself with is important. Finding good people with the same morals as you is possible and is important to leading a life with more joy and peace for yourself. By the end of this activity, I learned that things that influence my thoughts ultimately influence who I am as a person.

This activity had me play a game with 10 sticks, but I could only move 3 to create 3 squares. I figured it out fairly quickly, I think it only took about 3 or 4 tries. I did it with these 3 steps:
1. rotate the bottom middle stick and move it to the outer left side.
2. move the bottom right stick to the outer right side.
3. rotate the bottom left stick and move it to the top middle opening.

In this activity I was instructed to go into detail about what would make my life meaningful as well as what I have done or could do to make the world a little better than it is right now. I think experiences and personal successes make one's life meaningful. Obviously, one's definition of both changes between each person. One thing everyone could do to make the world a slightly better place is to practice basic kindness between each other and peers. You never know how far a smile or just a basic "hello" can go in someone's day.

This activity had me draw a picture of a house, a person, and a tree. It then had me read an article describing what my drawing says about me. It broke down my drawing to figure out more about myself. I found the results of my drawing inaccurate, but I still found the activity interesting. My results varied from saying I was open about my feelings to I am withdrawn. Most of my results do not reflect on myself, but I enjoyed looking at the results and trying to figure out how they correlated the detail to their feedback. One thing I noticed during this assignment was how the more simple details in my drawing led to having a more negative result.

This activity had me solve a puzzle in which we were given sticks in a pattern that we were instructed to make three squares in only three moves. I surprisingly finished this on my first try as I moved two sticks to the side to create two squares on the outside. I then noticed I could move the top stick down which would get rid of one square, but finish that had already been incomplete. This could help psychologists identify mental acuity or possibly memory as well.
