This article demonstrates disparities among children of Latino backgrounds, limitations, and their perspectives through grounded theory. Latino students with learning disabilities struggle with failure and compare themselves with peers without disabilities. The need for this group to have someone to go to and teach the skills necessary to self-advocate is crucial to supporting all students (Keel et al, 2018).

First, Universality students face barriers and challenges daily at school, home, and community. The group sessions will unite these students. Latino students will feel supported and feel a sense of belonging by meeting other students experiencing the same challenges. Another factor is Altruism; this therapeutic factor is to boost self-advocacy by speaking up for themselves and others. The goal is to have students put into practice what they learn in the group.
