They ranged from ideas that I have witnessed in person while in the classroom to strategies I have not even thought about doing. One of the ideas I did agree with was using the community and related issues they have shared, to inspire writing. In my opinion, using real-life events to help connect and get the students more comfortable with writing and makes it better when theyre in a group that they share with others. It becomes a collaborative space to generate continuous ideas. Collaborative spaces are essential when it comes to receiving positive and constructive feedback. The part I do not like is requiring it to be written. Also, it can be a complete hit or miss when having students do this activity.
