...then bridge them! An adjacency list, an adjacency matrix, a graph, an edge list. Depict one network using two of these ways of depicting a network.

I wanted to play a little with this method. Since we are discussing the concepts of individual nodes in this lesson, I thought I would play with the idea of multiple nodes having similar titles. For example, you can see here that the letter 'L' is displayed twice as a node. While this might typically be problematic or confusing, because of the ways in which the nodes are tied to one another, we can see that they are two separate nodes altogether.

I decided I would try to draw a network graph without direction, and an edge list to show the relationship of my family to my co-worker's family. In the graph, the nodes "T" represents myself, "S" represents my husband, and "R" represents my son. The "M" is my co-worker, and the "T" on her side is her husband. "B" and "C" are her two dogs. The tie between the "T" and "C" crosses over as obviously there is a relationship between all four members in the household.

As you can see, there are multiple connections because friends and siblings are all related some how. We see with the edge list that there are 6 connections between these nodes.
For my network graph I am showing the connections between a group of friends. As you can see every person is friends with at least two of the other people in the graph, but no one is friends with all of the people. There are five nodes with a total of six connections in the edge list.

I decided to create a not so fictional network based on coworkers I had contact with at work, that was work related, on this past Thursday. "Good Morning" and "How are you?" didn't count. I am pretty confident on the contact between my contacts as well. I attempted an adjacency matrix and an edge list. Hopefully, they match up. In the adjacency matrix, an "X" means there was work contact and a "0" was placed for no work contact. Me was for me. The other labels are either for my coworker's first name or title.

For this week, I used my actual workplace, but with theoretical names and job titles. I decided to depict the pyramid scheme of jobs, whom talks to whom and where each can talk to (level of command when someone needs help). For example, the CEO talks back and forth with both branch managers. The branch managers talk to each other, and so don't the teller supervisors. However, the tellers can't talk up or tell the higher ups what to do, and they cannot speak with the other tellers at the other branch because they're separate.
-Betelgeuse

p.s. please let me know if attachment is actually attached. The file drop said it was, but I want to make sure! Thank you.
