Education is a major pillar of our society and as educators increasingly leave the profession for more highly paid jobs, students, parents, and communities are effected as a result.

Something we can do to help this problem is increase the demand for higher pay from society members other than teachers. Taxpayer money is a major part of the way teachers are paid and as a result, taxpayer demands are the most likely to help solve this issue. This issue has a long history and thus the solution will not be quick or clean, but every step towards betterment is a major improvement.

The constraints of this are that taxpayers never want to pay more money. This issue has also become increasingly political, making progress in policy much harder.
