Tie-Up with Educational Outcomes:
This retreat combines hands-on cooking skills with productive discussions focused on pedagogy and learning strategies. The goal is to foster teamwork while creating space for informal peer-sharing on teaching practices, all within a fun, creative task.

Activity Plan:

• Partner with ABC Cooking Studio to facilitate a cooking workshop.

• Teachers will be divided into teams, each tasked with preparing a dish.

• At each cooking station, teams will engage in guided discussions around teaching-related topics such as:

  • How to introduce difficult concepts to struggling students.

  • Effective classroom activities for boosting student engagement.

• After completing the dishes, each team will present their culinary creation along with their educational insights from the discussion.

Educational Benefit:
This activity encourages collaborative learning through cooking while facilitating informal exchanges of effective classroom practices. Teachers can share their experiences and strategies in a relaxed, creative environment, making the retreat both enjoyable and meaningful.

Location and Food:

• The session will conclude with a shared meal, where participants enjoy the dishes they’ve prepared, enhancing both social bonding and reflective discussion.
