Something that I really enjoy about myself is that I am very inquisitive. I'm the type of person who wants to know the "why" behind everything. I think having a curious mindset keeps my life interesting because I'm always learning something new!

Another quality that I appreciate about myself is that I am literally just a chill girl lol! I generally don’t let small things get to me, and I like to keep the vibes positive around me at all times. My aura is really inviting, and I’m someone who is easy to talk to and hang out with!

My favorite hobby is definitely reading! When I was younger, my mom and I would read a book together every day, and it became one of my favorite pastimes. Fortunately, loving books has still stuck with me to this day. So far this year, I have read 32 novels! If you need any recommendations, I suggest checking out the authors Kennedy Ryan and Ali Hazelwood!

My all-time favorite hobby is listening to music! I’ll really listen to almost any genre. At one point in time, I had a rock phase, and at another point in time, I had a country phase. Right now, my favorite artist is Lana Del Rey, but I also really like Mariah the Scientist. I’ve attached one of my favorite songs for you all to hear! :)

Monumental Moment

During covid, I lost my aunt, who was one of the closest people to me. I had lived with her my entire life, and I honestly viewed her as a second mother, the glue that held our family together. Her passing was devastating, and since then I feel like our family bond has weakened; we don’t come together the way we would if she were still here. Because her death was so sudden and I had no time to prepare for it, I think a part of me has grown numb to loss, as if it’s easier to detach than to feel that kind of pain again. However, her death has taught me to celebrate those that I love while they are still here and to cherish each and every moment that I have with them!

After obtaining my bachelor's, I plan on attending law school to become an environmental attorney. I want to help create policies based on conservation and climate-smart agriculture. Additionally, I want to represent minority farmers who do not have the same resources as others.

SOCIAL ISSUE

A social issue that is important to me is environmental justice within agriculture. Resource mismanagement, pollution, and climate change have disproportionately affected underserved farming communities.

The solution to this issue is to implement climate-smart agriculture practices while also advocating for policies that ensure minority farmers have equitable access to resources to support those practices.
