Invented by Galileo Galileo in 1593, the thermometer was a revolutionary invention. Thermometers are extremely important to us now. Imagine life without thermometers. We wouldn't know how truly sick we were, or to wear a sweater rather than shorts and a t-shirt. This tool was truly revolutionary for measurement and determining the weather.

Sir Isaac Newton was born December 25, 1642. He discovered things like the composition of white light. You probably know him though, for his 3 laws of motion. Without these laws of motion, we most likely would never have truly understood how motion works.

Thought up by Nicolaus Copernicus in around 1543, the heliocentric theory was a revolutionary yet controversial discovery. The church taught that the earth was the center of the universe, and to avoid getting excommunicated, Nicolaus published his book at his death bed. This theory has a lasting effect on today because without it, we might have never know how the universe truly works. We might have never gotten to the moon!

Hans Lippershay invented this revolutionary invention in early 1600's. Later Galileo Galilei improved on the original design and made it better. Without the telescope, we could have never gotten to see the wonders of the universe. The one made in the 1600's could magnify things nearly 20 times the original size!
