The antagonist in Cut is a couple things, both of them related to Callie's own mind. One thing is Callie's fear of speaking, and another is her confusion as of why she hurts herself. The reason for this is because her self harming is what's dragging her down and what also put her in the mental hospital

The theme is to make decent progress on finding the answer, but take time if you need to. An example of this is when Callie first began talking to her psychiatrist, and being surprised when she hears how small her voice is. And, even though this takes place only two pages later, she is for the most part talking on her own, stating that "the words seem to come out on their own."

It is unclear which point of view you are actually in, but it is most likely first person. The reason why is because we're mostly reading what's going inside Callie's head, and the words "I," "me," "my," and more are used a lot. It may also be second person, meaning we're looking through your own point of view, because when Callie's with her psychiatrist, she calls the psychiatrist "you" and "your."
