This stage provides students with a set of common experiences and social interactions as they begin making sense of the new concept.<br><br><strong>Explain</strong>: when the teacher is leading the discussion, talking about key vocabulary, explaining, and teaching. It is used to find out what the students understand.<br><br><strong>Elaborate</strong>: students apply their understanding of the concepts of the lesson and apply to their prior knowledge to create understanding.<br><br><strong>Evaluate</strong>: the assessments (informal or formal) to check for understanding of the concepts.</div>]]></description>
