         <description><![CDATA[<div>Patterns in mathematics often come up in Number Talks. Students are able to notice patterns as they listen to their peers. Students also express different models of mathematics when they express what they are visualizing in their heads about the math they are doing. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>MP7: Look for and make use of structure: Students share and see patterns and structures for how to solve problems. For instance, in dot talks, they may notice that even numbers always have groups of two with none leftover, while odd numbers always have one dot without a buddy. Then they might to start to see a problems as a double, or a double plus one extra. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I believe that you use all of them. I love that there is an emphasis on numbers 4 and 5. The use of modeling and using tools. We can have a conversation on their decisions of why they selected a specific strategy versus another.  </div>]]></description>
