Terrorism will still be a prominent issue in the world in 15 years because the United States and Countries in Europe keep allowing large numbers of Syrian refugees into their countries. While most Syrian refugees aren't threats, there is a higher possibility of their being some bad apples than if they decrease the number of refugees being allowed in. The Syrian people wouldn't even have to be leaving their country if the war there would stop but the war shows no signs of slowing down and I believe that the United States should do more in restoring peace in Syria because they shouldn't have to leave their country to survive. So this is the problem that is current right now and could still be in 15 years because the choice is to not allow all of the refugees in and leave them in a war zone or let them in and then create a risk for your own people even though most refugees pose no threat.

"Smart Stuff" will forever be an issue from now on because all we can do now is to advance more and more. Thing is, we already are so needy of technology that it's everywhere and used in everything. For example Smart toilets?!?!?!?!?!? It's kinda lit but, really now?! Movies and Television shows about future technology failing scares me the most because this could be possible, and our technology isn't far from it. Another example is in the movie GeoStorm, the weather controlling device was such a great idea, but it was easily controlled and used for bad. In the Netflix series Black Mirror, there was an episode about humans making fake bees to continue pollination, but it was easily hacked and was a swarm of mental murders controlled from a computer. Though this is off topic, I just wanted to state that technology is risky to fully depend on. So knowing this in 15 years i feel like it will be even worse, i don't know if humans will even be humans anymore even after 15 years, so devoted to technology and needy of it. It comes to the point where people can't even do one plus one in their heads anymore. Though I am a hypocrite and a part of this society , I don't like the direction it is pushing toward. Advancement in this world is an Addiction.

The marker event that will have a effect on my life is the Black/All lives matter movement going on right now. I believe it will have the greatest impact on me because, right now all the police brutality going on against minorities(mainly African Americans) is causing a sense of fear to not just only me, but all the other Hispanics, Asians, and African Americans living in this very country. It makes us minorities question ourselves "Are we really safe in this country?". However, in 15 years I predict that this movement will positively affect us as a country, and minorities. It will positively affect our country by having less internal conflicts to deal with, and it will positively affect minorities by reassuring us that the people who are suppose to protect us, aren't hurting us because of our racial profile.

I think it will still have a great impact because no matter how many years pass and no matter how much we wish it wasn’t so there will always be terrorist Groups in the world and there will be casualties for the people they are aiming for. It inflicts sadness on those affected and those we hear about it or witness these terrorist acts. All countries should try to make peace with each other so we can all feel safe and not afraid of threats but that will take alot longer then 15 years to happen , if ever .

A big thing that I think will forever be a big deal in my life time, hopefully not the future of the future generations is, Neo-Nationalism. I believe there will always be people that think their race is better than someone else's because of their race. There will always be those crazy people that go all out to show that they're are better than everybody else. There are many groups such as KKK, that will be around for a long time. Parents that believe in that will teach their kids to think that way and teach their kids to spread it on and on through the generations. The kids will probably believe all of the things they are told because its what they've heard all of their life. This world really does need to spread love and peace. If the world is this cruel right now, I have no imagination of what its going to be like for my future kids.

Whether it's my religion, my choice of friends (colored, LGBTQ+ etc) or anything else. They pose a threat to everything America stands for and what the rest of the world stands for. Inequality such as racism, sexism, homophobia, islamphobia, and so many other forms of discrimination. Through the last couple years, our generation has had the opportunity to witness an uprising. The black lives matter movement fights injustices towards African-American people, specifically the disturbing injustices of white cops gunning down innocent black men. The woman's march saw women and men of all different ethnicity, races, religions, sexuality, etc come together to stand up for the right woman deserve, and to show a stand of solidarity against the current political administration. As our generation gets older we will be able to take a stand in the long fight against inequality.
