Based on the reading I found it interesting that Darwin considered himself a religious man. I found this interesting because Darwin created a theory that went against the Bible and against his religion. Since Darwin was religious I would thing that he would do anything he could to follow the Bible and to want everyone to believe in the Bible.

Based on my reading of the text, “ Inventors and Scientists:Charles Darwin”, what I found most interesting and surprising is that it took Charles 20 years before he could publish his theories. I found this interesting and surprising because like he took his time to collect more information and evidence to prove himself right. Also I found it really surprising that he married his own cousin. I found this surprising because he married his own relative.

I found the concept of natural selection a bit confusing and interesting because it explains how we adapt traits from our parents. The text states that scientists have obeserved the traits being passed down from species to species. This shows us how carefully studied this topic is. Also the text states that small changes occur when creatures reproduce. This shows how we were based on our genetics andwith small changes that make us unique. This proves why found the concept of natural selection a bit confusing and interesting because it explains how we adapt traits from our parents.

Based on my reading of the text “Inventors and Scientists: Charles Darwin” I found it interesting that Darwin took almost 20 years to publish his theories. I found this interesting because he was smart enough to collect more information and evidence in order to prove himself right and he didn’t want to upset people so he took his time to balance his scientific discovernment and his faith.

It is very hard to lose someone close to you and it is even harder when you lose your mother as a kid. Even through that he was able to bounce back and become a very famous scientist.

I thought he would have waited maximum 5 years but 20 seems a little to much that’s longer then we have all lived by a lot he spent that time waiting with his ideas.

Based on my reading on the text, I found it interesting at first when I read that Darwin’s book caused controversy but the information ended up being correct with proof. On page 3, the text states “Darwin’s book caused huge controversy, but many scientists had accepted his ideas within a decade. Since then, new evidence has clearly supported Darwin’s theories.” This proves that Darwin’s book caused controversy even though the information was correct and was backed up by evidence by many scientists.
