I graduated from Pecatonica High School back in 2019. My plan was to attend Clarke University (Dubuque, Iowa) and earn my bachelors degree in Psychology.

From 2019-2023 I attended Clarke University. These four years were filled with great memories, challenges and achievements, and many life lessons. My educational journey here was very fulfilling and life changing.

Bachelors Degree Earned

In May of 2023, I graduated from Clarke University with a B.A degree in Psychology! I graduated with Cum Laude honors. This day was filled with an overwhelming amount of achievement, joy, and love. Walking the stage and turning over my tassel was such a memorable experience that I will cherish forever. Earning this degree was just the start of my future goals.

Life after graduation

After I graduated from Clarke, my plan was to find a job where I could use my degree. In August of 2023, I started my job at Caravel Autism Health.

I currently still work here as an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician). At Caravel, we use ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) therapy which is a scientific approach to better understand behavior.

I work with autistic children ages ranging from 2-7 years old. This job has provided me with such a gratifying feeling as I know that I am changing the lives of the children I work with.

Grad School Consideration

While working and having my bachelors degree I felt a push to continue my education. I felt as if my educational path was incomplete. I knew I was capable of accomplishing more. Obtaining my Masters in Professional School Counseling would allow me to continue to change the lives of students/kids. The thought of helping and providing counseling services in a school setting has always been a dream of mine. I felt determined to go back to school as I knew that this education was going to be worth it in the end.

Acceptance into grad school at Bradley University

In December of 2023, I was accepted into the Professional School Counseling Masters Program at Bradley University. In January of 2024, my grad school journey had started and my educational path was reignited.

So far, attending grad school has been such a great experience. I have enjoyed connecting with other students, learning an abundance of new information, and pushing myself towards success!
