This resource discusses how we are seeing that spanking and similar forms of punishment on children are leading to long term effects like more aggression, children growing up to believe that this type of force is acceptable to use on others, mental health problems, etc. However, many adults still believe this to be a good and acceptable form of punishment even though it has also not been seen as very effective.

Conclusion Paragraph

In conclusion, there are many negative effects of spanking and parents should practice other punishments. With just a little Google search you can see that many people have very strong feeling about spanking. While some people come up with excuses to why they should be able to spank their children it doesn't take much work to find many reasons to why spanking shouldn't be done onto children. One common excuse I see given to why spanking was used is that the "parents didn't know any better" but now we do now better there are many studies showing the horrible effects it can have on people and know we know many positive alternatives exist. I truly don't believe parents should use forces such as spanking to discipline their child and I believe it is obvious why but if it wasn't already then this research I did should show just why parents shouldn't spank their children.
