         <description><![CDATA[<p>It is hard to see that a lot of the kids use Google Docs and just have it correct their spelling for them. It seems like it doesn't matter almost...and I don't know if we're supposed to be correcting their work they go, either!</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Today my mentor teacher had students playing a Jeopardy review game and an English Learner was called on to pick a category and it was "American Alliterations," which he was unsure how to pronounce. The teacher had the student sound out the word and the student got the correct pronunciation of "alliteration" after a few tries.</p>]]></description>

With the range of special ed and GATE kids in our classroom, we are discussing specifics in phonics and using UFLI technology. I find that a topic from every chapter and lesson we learn in this class comes up in my day to day at my placement  </p>]]></description>

Every night the students have language arts homework where they need to write a paragraph or two on a various creative writing prompts. Each morning, certain students raise their hands to share their writing. It's been wonderful seeing their creative process, their writing structure, and their read-aloud ability.</p>]]></description>
