Have students email teacher when late work has been completed. Pin the message in email so that it is at the top of the screen. Respond to student when assigment has been graded and the gradebook has been updated.

Post Videos when appropriate.

Send Synergy Progress Reports every two weeks, if not more often, to both students and parents.

Have students work with members in their teams to get work completed.

We use Khan academy to help any students who miss classroom discussions. Fills gaps between formative and higher level summative assignments. 
    2. Set up procedures where both students and parents have to respond to an assignment via email to help with parent engagement in their students learning gaps.  Assignment also gives teacher a correct email to contact parent directly when there are gaps in learning caused by RSP absences. This helps  relieve some of the burden placed on an ill student.  
    3. Walk students through the google classroom so they know that pen and paper assignments are also available digitally in case they miss any school days/

    * Using specialists to produce content lessons for students while they are absent
    * Department OC's with a parent contact, but explaining it is NOT a punishment!!
    * If any teachers have saved lessons from last year, sending those to students to watch and supplement the absent work they receive.
    * Voluntary dual instruction (lesson with class and webex for those home sick) simultaneously
    * Postpone the PBA this year due to a great amount of students not receving ample instruction for all skills needed on these tests

  • Create a daily calendar in Google classroom, with an ¨Absent¨ folder.  It helps maintain contact with students.
  • Create categories in Google Classroom for Bell Work, Grammar and Vocabulary.  Post the lesson at the end of the day (Google slides).
  • Hold fifteen-minute makeup sessions in Webex, between 2:35 and 3:30 pm.
