I am intelligent, but as stubborn as a rock,
I wonder why the world is such a maze,
I hear the sounds of an imaginary woodstock,
I see that it is in a woeful daze,
I want it to stop, but all I can think is of that writer's block,
I am intelligent, but as stubborn as a rock.

I pretend that broom is a sword,
I feel that I am the powerful of them all,
I touch on the power of a feudal lord,

I worry this fantasy will just become a free fall,
I cry that all of this is just a dream of my storyboard,
I am intelligent, but as stubborn as a rock.

I understand my writing is not that great,
I say that even so I can still learn,
I dream that my stories would one day captivate,
I try write so that my readers would read with concern,
I hope this poem shows all that I tried to encapsulate,
I am intelligent, but as stubborn as a rock.
