Family/Geographic Upbringing

I grew up in Maryland which didn't have much affect on my political views since I was young. When I moved to Colorado I went to a very liberal charter school and my parents values started to reflect that and mine did too. When I do go back to visit family and South Carolina they tend to have more republican views then my parents but still mixed with liberal beliefs as well so its interesting to hear another point of view from family that arent my parents.

When I headed into high school I met more diverse sets of people with very different beliefs. I started to go to youth group with my friends and church despite my parents not being religious. Doing these things started to make me have some conservative opinions as well.

Gen Z tends to have a lot of unique people with different view points and some are polar opposites but it seems on the day to day I am surrounded by more liberal then conservative view points. This gives me a chance to agree with a lot of their point of views while hearing where our ideology differs.
