         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>The term "<strong>English Garden</strong>" was brought to France by <strong><em>Abbe Le Blanc</em></strong>, the one who published a story about his voyage in 1745 and 1751.&nbsp;</li><li>Later on,&nbsp; a book that was written systematically about English Garden, "<strong><em>Observation on Modern Gardening</em></strong>" written by <strong><em>Thomas Whately</em></strong><em> </em>was published in London, 1770 and translated to French in 1771.&nbsp;</li><li>"<strong>Seven Years' War</strong>" ended in 1763 and that was when all of the French noblemen voyaged to England and explore their garden by themselves, and that is how many French peoples brought the style of English Garden to their own country, France.</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>In the last quarter of 16th and the first quarter of 17th centuries, where the French attacks Italy, they were exposed by the term "<strong>Italian Garden</strong>".&nbsp;</li><li>Since the French were influenced by Italian Garden, they created their French version of Italian Garden that was located in North France. It has the array of steep terraces that linked by stairways, which is one of the character of<em> Villa d'Este.&nbsp;</em></li><li>In 17th century, French garden manifest the use of<strong><em> Baroque </em></strong>that required variety and unlimited vista with fountains, patterres.</li><li>These hidden gardens were the successors of the Italians but with different function; they were not meant for private use, and the French was the unified and elaborate treatment of the compartmentalized garden beds, which the Italians had made in a variety of forms.</li></ul>]]></description>

Visitors, particularly Americans, often<mark> interpret their attitude toward foreigners as rude.</mark></li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>The French embrace style and sophistication and take pride in the fact that even <mark>their public spaces strike a regal tone.</mark></li></ul><div><br></div><ul><li>The French believe in<mark> </mark><em><mark>égalité</mark></em>, that means <mark>equality</mark>, and it is part of the country's motto: "<mark>Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité." </mark>Many say they place a <mark>higher</mark> <mark>importance on equality than liberty and fraternity</mark>, the other two words in the motto.</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
