He had always had 20/20 vision, so he was worried. He decided to wait until anything else happened before he went to see a doctor. Mark later in the same week noticed he couldn't see clearly during the night time, and anytime he would walk into a room he would have to cover his eyes because the lights were "too bright" for him to see. He decided that it was time to see his optometrist. Once he had an eye exam done by his optometrist, Dr. Ross, Dr. Ross said that there was a bit of clouding over his pupil and then referred him to an ophthalmologist. Once Mark visited the ophthalmologist, Dr. Pierce, Dr.Pierce conducted an exam and diagnosed Mark with cataracts. Dr.Pierce also talked to Mark about treatment plans and in the end they decided surgery was the best treatment plan for Mark. Later the next week Mark had come into Dr.Pierce's surgical room to get the surgery. Sarah came to the appointment ready to meet with her favorite optometrist, Dr.Schultz, Dr.Schultz conducted an eye examination on Sarah and came to the conclusion that Sarah may need glasses or contacts depending on which type of eyewear she prefers. Sarah was nervous about getting eyewear but she was happy she finally found of what was happening with her. She has always tried on glasses for fun when getting her eyes checked but never thought she would actually have to wear them; now she has to wear eyewear to see. Dr.Peterson walked gave Sarah the instructions to try on different frames of glasses. Sarah found a pair of glasses that she thought she looked nicely in and told Dr.Peterson who then sat down with her to talk about her payment plan for the glasses, and to go over her glasses prescription to finalize her glasses order. Once Dr.Peterson sent out the order he told Sarah to come back in acouple weeks to pick the glasses up.
