My ELL students are embarking on narrative writing units. I really like the ideas I saw in the Taking a Stand ALU on the portal.  The students will think of bullying issues or other situations where children have to make a choice and use their narratives to describe the best way to solve these issues. I am going discuss this with my students and see how we can further develop this idea to create some community service opportunities.
