There are many ski areas close to Lebanon, and we even have our own small one. Attitash, Wildcat, Sunapee, and Ragged are large mountains. We have the Dartmouth Skiway and Whaleback, which are smaller and more local.

Attitash Mountain Resort is in the white mountains, and has two peaks. There is Bear Peak, which is less crowded and has better trails, and then there's the main peak which has more trails and more people, but worse trails and conditions. There are some discounts, but it is expensive.

Storrs Hill

Storrs Hill is a city run area that is volunteer operated, aside from the hill manager. They have a good hill for beginners and intermediate skiers. They also have a 5m, 25m, and 50m ski jump. The 50m ski jump is 50m in the sky, on top of the steepest hill in Lebanon. It is cheap and has a poma lift.

Whaleback

Whaleback Mountain has been around for a while, but it almost went out of business a few years ago. It was bought at auction by a board of people, and has been run since. They have snowmobile contests and racing. It's cold, and the trails get skied off easily. However, the tickets are fairly cheap and a lot of people ski there.
