Stress, being one of the major signs has now been the major cause for diseases like Cardiovascular, nervous system and mental health. According to The Australian Psychological Society Limited(2012), "Stress is often described as a feeling of being overloaded, wound-up tight, tense and worried." Men and women in the present context do deal with variety of stress in a very different manner. This essay will discuss about the factor why both the male and female deal with stress differently.

To begin with, male and female cope differently because of biological reason. Both genders have their own reaction characteristics regarding stress. Oxytocin hormone is the stress hormone.Stress hormone present in human cortisol, epinephrine and oxytocin play crucial role. Oxytocin helps to control the outcome of cortisol and epinephrine. But oxytocin is released in less amount in male whereas women's brain release more in response to stress("Women's brain",2016).
To sum up, both gender cope contrastingly in a stressful situation due to affect on release of oxytocin hormone.

The phenomenon of stress can be seen commonly not only in males but also in females. However, it is totally different between men and women when they face stress. This eassy will discuss the reasons why they cope with stress differently.

The first reason why they treat stress differently is because of biological reasons. The hormones of men and women increase differently when they face stress. Estrogen, which is known to relief stress, decreases greatly after menopause in terms of women, while men still have this throughout their lives("Her stress",2016).Therefore, hormone is a crucial player that makes men and women deal with stress differently.

Today, men and women have stress of different extent from their work and life. According to Selye (1996), stress is " the non-response of the body to any demand for change". However, men and women have their own way to deal with stress that they face. This essay will discuss the different reasons why men and women deal with stress differently.

One of the reasons that is involved in the differences between men and women is biological. Women have different hormones from man that is why women are more emotional than men. In fact as human beings, we have hormones that control our emotion. The hormone that control emotion is called oxytocin, it always comes to role when we face stressful situation. Sapolsky (2004) describes that for women the oxytocin come from the brain and role when cortisol and epinephrine come out to the bloodstream when women feel stress. Otherwise, when men fall into stressful situation, their hormones oxytocin also release like women but just a little amounts. That why men and women deal with their stress.

These days, many people feel stressed because of their daily life. Stress by definition is “a particular relationship between the person as exceeding his or her resources and endangering his or her well-being” (Lazarus & Folkman, 1984). However, men and women deal with stress in different ways. This essay will discuss the different reasons why men and women cope with stress differently.

To begin with biological reasons, men and women deal with stress in different ways because of hormones. Women have different reaction to hormones than men due to the estrogen which is differently produced by them. In women, the ovaries produce estrogen in which the cortisol released is contracted and the levels of estrogen decrease when women have menopause. On the other hand, in men, estrogen is created by part of converted testosterone by the testicles ( "Her Stress Vs His Stress", 2016)
