Evolution has been around for as long as life has been around. No denying that. The most basic definition for it is this: "Change over Time".

That's where VIST comes in. It's an acronym that stands for: Variation, Inheritance, Selection, and Time. It seems scary but it's pretty simple. It is basically natural selection but names the factors. Variation pops up with Mutations (No, not Wolverine but kinda close) or with Gene Flow. Those Variations are Inherited through Natural Selection. Selection is best described with Sexual Selection, when you select a partner for their characteristics. Time is well...... Time. The changes don't happen instantaneously. Organisms change over TIME!

Edwards VS. Aguillard

The Edwards vs. Aguillard case was about a law that Louisiana passed. The law basically stating, 'If the Evolution theory is taught, then creationism must be taught and vice versa.' Now, teachers didn't HAVE to teach either of these things, but if they taught one, then they had to teach the other topic. The Supreme Court ruled it as a violation of the constitution.

Divergent, Parallel, and Convergent evolution are all different types of evolution that describe how species become different or alike one another. Genetic drift is the variation of genes in a small area. Homologous Structures are structures that are alike, but appear in different species. A Vestigial organ is an organ that has lost its main function through evolution. Ontogeny Recapitulates Phylogeny is when certain animals have similar embryos. Molecular Evolution is change in the sequence of cellular molecules, E.G DNA, RNA, Proteins.
