The topic was something I looked forward to. Even though I have learned many things from academic point of view before, the simple steps that one need to take to get out of the cycle of anxiety and depression was explained very well. I feel confident I can help someone in need to take the first step. The fillers in the seminar made it very entertaining and crossword at the end was kind of revision of the seminar. Overall one of the best seminars.

- Simon Peter

The legislature regarding mental health, policies, programmes like UMMEED those regarding pregnancy and post partum were new and intriguing. Shows the hard work all the participants and guide has put into this seminar. The games were perfectly planned and timed enough to keep the interest alive for the longest duration. The last Q n A session; a cherry on the top! Cheers to more such informative and interactive seminars!

Hi!! Chayanika here!!

This topic is very close to my heart. I am all too familiar not only on a professional level, but also on a personal level with the effects of poor mental health.

I am also in love with two of the resources from WHO I used to prepare my presentation - mhGAP and "Doing what matters in times of stress". Both are resources that I had used before the seminar as well, but I loved presenting the things I learnt there to a large audience. Highly recommend both to those interested.

I'm grateful for this opportunity to have worked with Rupali ma'am. If I am to be frank, anxiety is a familiar friend for me. It's been a long time since I've gone on the stage feeling this stress-free and the credit goes to ma'am. The truth is, we had been preparing for this seminar for so long that at the final minute, there was no anxiety. It has made me reflect and realise that meticulous planning, preparation and practice really helps in performing the best.

I want to thank my co-presenters for their encouragement, their good work and Dr Nilesh specially for often taking the lead and arranging things.

I am extremely grateful to all those who appreciated my presentation. It really helps in boosting my confidence. I do wish more people could have come for the seminar. To my surprise, one of my friends appreciated my PowerPoint presentation too, which made me realise how far I've come. I have never thought of myself as someone good at PowerPoint presentation and many of the things I've learnt on PowerPoint are very new, including things I learnt while preparing for this seminar!

I did feel I could have done a better job of the moderation probably? Will try for moderation again sometime in future and do a better job.

Overall, grateful!

First of all, I want to say thanks to Dr. Rupali, ma'am, for guiding us and giving us this opportunity.

We started preparing for a month. On 10 th of December we had first meeting and ma'am distributed topic to us and gave some activities one of which was to screen the patient's whether patients come for any reason we had told ma'am to ask golden questions when I screened first patient she was having chest pain, palpitation, breathlessness she had a consultation with general medicine physician and she had undergoon various investigations but her symptoms were not relieved further I dig the history and later I come to know that 6th month back her father was died and I further asked whether your sleep is disturbed or whether your appetite is well and have you sad feeling or whether have you some stress. She had three positive findings then I ask them to go psychiatry and give my WhatsApp number to send case after consultation. Surprisingly I found that she was under major depression it was one of the major finding for me and I thought how many patients we miss in our daily OPD, I started screening every patient near about 30 patients but I could follow up only 15 of them out of 15 I found 4 patients of major depression, 6 patients with adjustment disorders and 3 patients with dysthymia. This was one of the major lessons I learned and one of the most important lessons in my PG life, and I will be grateful to Dr. Rupali Mam for teaching us this.

And we started taking important points from the source material provided by Rupali Mam, which we completed until the 31st of December. Then we shared all the document format with Rupali Ma'am and had a meeting at which Mam told us to prepare a PowerPoint. Surprisingly, we didn't have to put in so much effort, and we made our PPT quickly. Ma'am took a rehearsal session for us, and at the time of the final presentation, we didn't notice 1% stress, and we fluently presented our presentation. Many times, we prepare our PPT and we get stress while presentation, but this time there was no stress, and this is one of the learnings: when you prepare for a long time and practice more, you don't get any stress.

In the last month, I've learned a lot from Dr. Rupali mam about time management and how to prepare a good PowerPoint presentation. How to do a presentation how the small activities can be carried out, how the group activities can be carried out, and how the whole presentation good.

I am lucky that I have a teacher like Dr. Rupali ma'am.

Thank you so much Ma'am. 💓

Hi! Neha Shet here. A very well

Timed seminar which touched upon every aspect of mental health. I especially loved the stress management and life skills part which was always superficially talked about earlier but never with such a fresh perspective. I wish to read resource document which shaped this segment. Another thing that I really appreciated was the highlighted focus upon maternal mental wellbeing and how it can be a part of preconceptional

Counselling to take care of longterm mental wellbeing of mothers. I really wish that this can be followed up by a stress management workshop for residents for building up better coping mechanisms. I am proud of my fellow colleagues for wonderfully executing Dr. Rupali maam’s vision.

So, where should I begin, Mental health is my area of interest . I was very excited to work on this topic , When I got to know Rupali maam is guide for this seminar I felt so happy because I knew how she works and always wanted to work with her since I joined in our department . We had decided our seminar topic approximately one month back . Since then our Guide Rupali ma,am had planned everything so systematically. She would ask us what do we think, how should we proceed , what are our inputs in each and every step from making rough Draft to final PPT , she had guided us at each and every step. One thing I liked the most is that she listens what students has to say very carefully ,appreciates it and then gives her inputs, this is what makes her a different mentor . There is a lot to learn from her , the small mistakes we tend to ignore ,but if we correct it ,how big difference it makes she taught me beautifully ( for eg. I learnt how to use smart art correctly now). She took multiple rehearsals individually and in group also , because of which we all were so confident at the final presentation. She used to sit with us individually for hours and guide us . We also thought about how to make this seminar interesting and to make audience involved , so we had decided to play some activities in between the sessions , All the attended enjoyed it a lot . Maam is so creative and always in for different ideas . Overall it was a mind-blowing experience for me .

I want to thank all my co-presenter and special Thanks to our beloved Dr. Rupali sabale maam !!

I'm saying insightful because it wasn't just that you had gathered some information about mental health and read it to us; but you made sure that everyone understands the topic. All the presenters had a clear idea and knowledge of what they're are speaking about and this was clearly seen in the question and answer session. Every question was answered so nicely and more importantly, completely.
