Fulcencio, sacerdote y  estudiante de física le comenta a Galileo el porqué de su renuncia a la astronomía,  no sólo por las presiones ejercidas por la iglesia sino que hay algo más, su familia y su fuerte creencia y fe en esta institución y el dice que si logran, como astrónomos, descubrir los errores de los escritos de la iglesias su familia se sentirá devastada. Frente a esto Galileo le pregunta: ¿quieres que le mientan  a tus padres? y él le responde: Debemos callar… en este diálogo Galileo intenta abrir la mirada del físico y recordale ante todo que es el un físico y astrónomo.. la verdad prevalece hasta que nosotros queremos que prevalezca . Los invito a que pensemos juntos respecto a qué hacer sobre aquellas verdades presentadas como absolutas, desde la iglesia y desde la ciencia.
