If you have lots of land that isn't owned, nation-states should allow refugees to have that land, and later on pay their taxes or later debts. The nation-states should just be able to accept the refugees and sympathize what the refugees have gone through, lost children, dead family and friends, disease, everything.

That's all the refugees really need, is to be accepted, they are people too, not animals, just because they are a different race than yours. We just need to be willing to accept the refugees and everything will be great. Of course donating items such as clothes, food, money, etc. helps them a lot, but the main thing is just to accept the refugees. And the refugees themselves just need to obey the rules, don't steal, don't kill, the few people that do that will ruin everything for the rest of the refugees and make the citizens never trust them again. I'm not trying to say that we should all be going to refugee camps and spending months there, I just think that we should be considerate towards the problems that are happening around us and not just to us.
