         <title>WHAT IS THE HAPPINESS?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Happiness is a sense of long-term well-being, peace of mind and satisfaction with our lives – it’s what all of us look for, all of the time. When we have even a small taste of it, we want it to continue forever. People often confuse pleasure for happiness. We usually think that if we eat nice food, wear expensive clothes and always have fun, we'll be happy. But somehow it never works out. We also tend to think that if we satisfy all our own needs and wants, we’ll be happy. But in reality, being concerned about just ourselves leads to loneliness and depression. It’s sometimes uncomfortable to be alone with our thoughts and emotions, so we find distraction in music, computer games, food, sex and careers. But this doesn’t really connect us to others, nor does it provide a real sense of happiness.</div><div> </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>According to the World Health Organization, nearly 80 percent of the world’s population depends for its primary health care needs on medicines derived from animals.This is especially true in countries where traditional medicines are widely used. Increasingly, however, modern medicines and remedies also contain animal derivatives. Given growing populations, increasing wealth, and the spreading popularity of natural remedies around the world, the demand for these medicines and remedies is rising. The rising demand, combined with reduced habitat, has caused an alarming increase in the number of plant and animal species (used for medicinal purposes) at risk. This article highlights some of the threatened and endangered animal species used in traditional Chinese medicine, the most widely practiced traditional system. In TCM the bones of tiger have been used in wines, plasters, and manufactured medicines to treat arthritis and other joint ailments. There is little doubt that the trade in tiger bones for medicinal purposes was a major factor behind the tiger conservation crisis of the 1980s and 1990s. Today there are as few as 5,000 to 7,000 tigers in the wild, they are designated as endangered on the 2007 World Conservation Union Red List of Threatened Species. About 5,000 tigers are being raised on farms in China as well. As same as tiger bone, decocted rhinoceros horn is used in TCM to treat fever, convulsions, and delirium. Its popularity has been a major factor in the reduction of the rhinoceros population in Africa and Asia. According to the World Wildlife Fund, only about 3,100 black rhinos in Africa and 2,800 of all three Asian species Sumatran, Javan, and Indian in Asia still survive. Black, Sumatran, and Javan rhinos are designated as critically endangered on the 2007 World Conservation Union Red List of Threatened Species, the Indian as endangered, and the African White variety as near threatened. Despite protective laws, poaching continues—still motivated by the Asian market for rhinoceros horn. Captive-breeding is now the only hope for some species until protection can be provided in the wild. Tiger bones and rhino horns may have a role in traditional Chinese medicine, but I think trendy health products with no medical value made from endangered animals are only a status symbol for the wealthy. The market for tiger and rhino products is driven by rich customers who have a need to show off social status, rather than seeking relief from medical issues.<strong> </strong>Using tiger bone and rhino horn does not bring real real benefit for medicine. Moreover, this threaten rare animals to extinction. No more who buy, no more who sell. Stoping using product made from animals can save them. Animals are friend and we need protect them from extinction. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<h1>We are entering an era where transplants are obsolete. Around the world, lists of patients in need of an organ transplant are often longer than the lists of those willing to donate in part because some of the most in demand organs for transplant can only be donated after a person has died. However, recent technological developments in medicine may well offer alternatives that could save more time, money, and<em> </em>lives. Foremost among these medical advances, and one that while controversial has continued to demonstrate potential, is the use of stem cells. Granted, applications for stem cells are somewhat limited, though that’s down more to ethical considerations more than scientific limitations. Still, the studies that have been done with stem cells have proven that it is possible to grow organs in a lab, which could then be implanted. Science has also made it possible to produce artificial organs using another technological marvel, 3D printing. When applied to medicine, the technique is referred to as 3D bioprinting and the achievements in the emerging technique have already been quite remarkable. Thus far, scientists have successfully 3D bioprinted several organs, including  a thyroid gland, a tibia replacement that’s a tibia replacement that’s already been implanted into a patient, as well as a patch of heart cells that actually beat. All of these organs were made possible by refinements to the type of bioink, one of many improvements to the process we can expect to see in the years to come, as there’s now an institution dedicated to advancing 3D bioprinting techniques.</h1><h1> </h1><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The more you know about your memory, the better you'll understand how you can improve it. Here's a basic overview of how your memory works and how aging affects your ability to remember.<br><br></div><div>Your baby's first cry. the taste of your grandmother's molasses cookies. the scent of an ocean breeze. These are memories that make up the ongoing experience of your life -- they provide you with a sense of self. They're what make you feel comfortable with familiar people and surroundings, tie your past with your present, and provide a framework for the future. In a profound way, it is our collective set of memories -- our "memory" as a whole -- that makes us who we are.<br><br></div><div><br></div><div>Most people talk about memory as if it were a thing they have, like bad eyes or a good head of hair. But your memory doesn't exist in the way a part of your body exists -- it's not a "thing" you can touch. It's a concept that refers to the process of remembering.<br><br></div><div>In the past, many experts were fond of describing memory as a sort of tiny filing cabinet full of individual memory folders in which information is stored away. Others likened memory to a neural supercomputer wedged under the human scalp. But today, experts believe that memory is far more complex and elusive than that -- and that it is located not in one particular place in the brain but is instead a brain-wide process.<br><br></div><div>Do you remember what you had for breakfast this morning? If the image of a big plate of fried eggs and bacon popped into your mind, you didn't dredge it up from some out of the way neural alleyway. Instead, that memory was the result of an incredibly complex constructive power, one that each of us possesses that reassembled disparate memory impressions from a web-like pattern of cells scattered throughout the brain. Your "memory" is really made up of a group of systems that each play a different role in creating, storing, and recalling your memories. When the brain processes information normally, all of these different systems work together perfectly to provide cohesive thought. What seems to be a single memory is actually a complex construction. If you think of an object say, a pen your brain retrieves the object's name, its shape, its function, the sound when it scratches across the page. Each part of the memory of what a "pen" is comes from a different region of the brain. The entire image of "pen" is actively reconstructed by the brain from many different areas. Neurologists are only beginning to understand how the parts are reassembled into a coherent whole. If you're riding a bike, the memory of how to operate the bike comes from one set of brain cells; the memory of how to get from here to the end of the block comes from another; the memory of biking safety rules from another; and that nervous feeling you get when a car veers dangerously close, from still another. Yet you're never aware of these separate mental experiences, nor that they're coming from all different parts of your brain, because they all work together so well. In fact, experts tell us there is no firm distinction between how you remember and how you think. This doesn't mean that scientists have figured out exactly how the system works. They still don't fully understand exactly how you remember or what occurs during recall. The search for how the brain organizes memories and where those memories are acquired and stored has been a never-ending quest among brain researchers for decades. Still, there is enough information to make some educated guesses. The process of memory begins with encoding, then proceeds to storage and, eventually, retrieval.<br><br></div><div><br></div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
