There is more opportunity to refine our lessons and focus on how we can make them better. I still would like to see reflections and teachers coming with data that helps us to determine where we need to move. This might be in the form of conference notes of formative assessments that they have given during the previous week. I think we need some clarification around the purpose of co-planning so teachers better understand the need for this reflection. I also would love to spend some time during our February PD/upcoming focusing on DOK and UDL. This will help focus our instruction and ensure that the students are getting what they need. I also think I need to get into classrooms more to see the work in action. ]]> 2018-12-26 22:00:58 UTC https://padlet.com/bmaurao/nr3bltl9xyd6/wish/316704783 https://padlet.com/bmaurao/nr3bltl9xyd6/wish/316708781 I think we are making progress in co-planning, but it some ways it feels like we are at square one with Brophy and Wilson being much further ahead.  I do think that not using the new Lucy units last year put us at a disadvantage.  I understand why the decision was made, but I do wish the teachers had been asked to dive into these units last year.  
Due to this, I worry that we are too heavily reliant on the Brophy lesson plans (A shout-out and thank you to Tori because they have been very helpful in getting people going!) and need teachers to get into Lucy lessons and determine what they feel is necessary for the students at McCarthy. 
Additionally, some lesson plan templates have more information that others.  I'm trying to figure out how to get them more completed so we are not in the same boat as we are this year.  I would like to be more on the refining side of the lesson planning versus determining the basic components again. ]]> 2018-12-27 00:35:47 UTC https://padlet.com/bmaurao/nr3bltl9xyd6/wish/316708781
