 I read a book called big Nate lives it up. When I was reading the book what stood out was that a new kid comes and Nate has to be his friend. Later on in the book Nate finds out that the kid was actually a person who bullied him in preschool. He then becomes mad at him and stops being his friend. In the end since the school he goes to is 100 years old so all the kids do a scavenger hunt. But look the school news has came out. Oh no! Today I continued to read the epeic fail of Arturo Zamora. Today I realized that this book was really detailed. I have not read a book this detailed before and I think that this made me want to read even more. The author of this book was very specific about the details which made the book way more detailed then it already was. From the expression down to the numbers I feel like this book has everything you need for a book. When I saw the video, it was technically introducing me to PenPals, but I already knew what PenPals is, either way I still watch the video. It was saying how I can learn about a lot of things in PenPals like history, culture, equality, language, environment and technology. I saw a caption and it said “These PenPals in Cambodia discuss each lesson before writing to other students!” and I thought in my head “they must be very good at PenPals because they discuss, do their PenPals and they write to other people as well.” I would like to do this with myself, since I really don’t have a partner. There was another picture with another caption and this caption said “These PenPals in Ghana write down their messages before working on a shared computer!” The fact that they are saving resources just by using one computer is amazing and second of all, the way their saving time by having their messages ready to go, is also amazing.  In the last picture the caption said “These PenPals in Argentina are practicing Digital Citizenship skills!” and I thought that’s great because that they can be wise about what they put on PenPals, so I think they do a great job in practicing their Digital Citizenship skills. I feel like the most important details from the book was the backstories of the characters. The book started like normal, but then the sisters starting to fight and then the athour showed the reader a back story of the older sister wanting a sister. Almost The whole chapter 1 had backstories about the characters. That helps me understand the book way better because if I’m hearing the book and then I get confused, but then there is a backstorie of why that is happening the I would not be confused anymore. Another detail from the book is the sound effects and the sounds that the characters make, for example, splash,ugh,sight and ahhhhhhhhhhh. The sounds in the book help me, because that way the athour is being more specific and it will help me maybe know the character’s emotions better. The final detail is the tone of the voice of the person who is reading the book. Today I read Dork Diaries: Tales from a NOT- SO- Happy Heartbreaker (I really need to stop reading theses series or I might have a diary soon). My least fave part and being really honest right here is MACKENZIE HOLLISTER NOT EVEN SAVING NIKKI FROM DROWNING TO THE BOTTOM OF THE POOL! I not even sure what this girl wants! Either to bully Nikki through the rest of the school year or to Make her DIE and have her corpse in the bottom. Like Nikki mentions it,“Mackenzie hates my GUTS!” But she never said “Mackenzie wants me DEAD IN MY GRAVE!”
