I think video games can be a great tool for learning because they offer different ways to develop skills that are useful in education. For example, games like Minecraft or The sims encourage creativity and exploration in a safe environment, where students can build, experiment, and learn from their own actions. These games allow people to think critically and solve problems as they design or manage virtual worlds.

In addition, many video games can be used as applied learning tools, they can help explain subjects like math, science, or even languages through interactive challenges and real-time feedback. Team-based games also promote communication and teamwork, which are essential skills in both school and professional life.

Overall, video games make learning more dynamic, engaging, and practical. They turn education into an active experience rather than something passive, which helps students stay motivated and think creatively.

In my opinion, video games can be a powerful tool for education when they are used with a clear purpose. Many games help students develop important skills such as problem–solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. They also support different learning styles, since some students learn better through visual and interactive activities rather than traditional methods.

However, teachers must choose appropriate games and control the time students spend playing, so that the experience remains educational and balanced. When used properly, video games can transform learning into something more dynamic, meaningful, and enjoyable.

Video games in education have become a powerful tool for improving learning thanks to their ability to motivate, engage, and develop key skills. Here I explain how they can be used, why they work, and provide some practical examples. Some video games improve transferable skills needed in life and at work:
Critical thinking
Problem-solving
Teamwork
Communication
Video games don't replace teachers, but they can become a powerful educational resource if integrated well: they boost motivation, allow for active learning, and develop key skills for the future.
They are especially useful when used to complement traditional activities and with clear objectives.Video games work well in education because they generate motivation, offer immediate feedback, allow learning through practice, and facilitate the personalization of the learning pace.

I believe that video games can be very useful in education because they make learning more interactive and motivating for students. Many games allow players to solve problems, make decisions, and think creatively, which helps develop important skills that traditional classes sometimes do not fully encourage. When students are engaged and having fun, they are more likely to pay attention and remember the information.

Video games can also simulate real-life situations, such as science experiments, historical events, or teamwork challenges. This helps students apply what they learn in a practical way. In addition, educational games can be adapted to different learning speeds, allowing each student to progress at their own rhythm. For these reasons, I think video games should be included more often in learning environments, as long as they are used responsibly and with a clear educational purpose.

The video games can be very powerful tools for education when they are used properly and with a pedagogical purpose. They are not just entertainment; they are interactive systems that allow players to develop cognitive, social, and technical skills.

Justification:
I have played approximately 10,000 matches of PES, and through this experience, I have learned much more than simply how to win a game. Playing at that level requires strategic thinking, pattern recognition, fast decision-making, and continuous improvement, which are all essential skills for real-life learning.

Video games like PES improve concentration, because players must stay focused for long periods while analyzing both their own movements and those of the opponent. They also strengthen predictive thinking, since you constantly have to anticipate the rival’s next action—just as in academic or professional environments, where you must anticipate problems and plan solutions.

Another important aspect is the principle of “practice makes perfect.” In PES, the more matches you play, the better your performance becomes. This is a practical demonstration of the learning theory based on repetition, feedback, and gradual skill acquisition. This concept can be applied to any field: programming, mathematics, sports, or languages.

Additionally, video games contribute to the development of emotional skills, such as managing frustration, maintaining discipline, and staying motivated over long periods of time. These soft skills are fundamental in modern education, especially for students who constantly face challenges.

For all these reasons, I believe video games can be highly effective educational tools, as long as they are used with a clear purpose and balanced with other activities.

I believe video games can be powerful tools for learning when they are used correctly and with a clear educational purpose. First, many games help develop important skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. For example, strategy games require players to plan, make decisions, and adapt to new challenges, which are valuable abilities in real-life situations.

Second, video games can increase motivation and engagement. Students often feel more interested when learning activities are interactive and enjoyable. Educational games can transform difficult topics such as math, science, or language learning into fun and meaningful experiences.

Finally, video games can promote collaboration. Many online or multiplayer games encourage teamwork and communication, skills that are essential for academic and professional success.

However, it is important to use video games in a balanced way. Teachers need to choose games that truly support learning outcomes and avoid excessive screen time. When used responsibly, video games can become an innovative and effective educational resource.

In my opinion, video games can be a valuable educational tool when they are used with a clear and purposeful approach. Their ability to promote logical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity makes them a meaningful support in the learning process.

In the field of Software Engineering, video games can offer even greater benefits, as some of them help strengthen programming-related skills. Minecraft, for instance—especially through Redstone or coding mods—encourages algorithmic thinking, automation, and logical structure design. Likewise, games such as Human Resource Machine, CodeCombat, and Robocode allow learners to practice essential concepts like loops, conditionals, and algorithm design within interactive and engaging environments.

Additionally, video games provide immediate feedback and challenge-based learning, which enhances motivation and fosters active participation. When thoughtfully selected, they can effectively complement traditional learning methods and contribute to the development of key competencies required in my training as a software engineer.
