That's not good, because if we act like them (American people), over time our identity as an Asian race will be lost. The minority model permeates the lives of Asian - American students for beyond the surface level</pre><div><br></div><pre>    The standards which set by Asian - Americans became very high simply as a result of  minority model stereotypes living with high standards is often very stressful</pre><div><strong><br>Reaction&nbsp; (50 words or more) : Write your&nbsp; opinion about a main point / your&nbsp; critical&nbsp; review&nbsp;<br></strong><br></div><pre>In my opinion setting a high standars of living for ourselves is very stressful. It can cost our psychologically, emotionally, even academically. We learn to correlate ourselves worth with quantitative measurement. We out perform ourselves over anything less than the A range. we become normalized self-sacrifice such as studying harder and longer and leaving our social lives behind.</pre><div><br></div><pre>This created an evironment of emotional isolation and decision making as Asian - American girls between the ages of 15 and 24 have the second highest suicide rate, Asian - American students are significantly more likely than their whites skin (Pure Americans) to have suicidal thoughts.</pre><div><br><br></div><div><strong>Reflection (50 words or more) : What you have learned or the problems you have during extensive listening, how did you deal with the solve the problems<br></strong><br></div><pre>I have learned that success can't be defined by how much our scor or grades or how many awards we have achieved, and turning stereotypes takes time that may not happen overnight it may even take generatio, but if we start now, our grandchildren will someday, even our children can be free to be who they want to be.</pre><div><br></div><pre>I need to improve my listening skill to other accent and slow down the playback speed of the YouTube video.</pre><div><br><br></div><var><strong>Self- Assessment

The education system sometimes deprives 17 year olds of political rights, just because they are 17 years old. But Actually, what separates adults and teens intellectually? what is age? What does that mean for our voices and politics?</pre><div><br></div><pre>The minority model isn't really about smart Asians or mathematicians. Race still matter. The practice of using make - up and prosthetics to make Non - Asian artist look like East Asians. </pre><div><br></div><pre>It dehumanizes us, and it gives the idea that we are outsiders and we do not belong. There seems to be a refusal to see Asian Americans as completely perfect human beings with our own passions, desires, and lives.</pre><div><br></div><pre>At some point, when there is an intentional lack of inclusion, it becomes an exclusive.
