STONE

Dec. 20 1973, species act signed-provided protection and there ecosystem and the enforcement of all treaties. The Yellowstone park was the first national park in 1972. I think that the wolves in Yellowstone park shouldn't be killed because they kill the elk witch then the bears eat the left overs so the wolves equal out the population. 136 wolves were killed in the park; by the 1940s, wolf packs were rarely reported. By the mid-1900s, wolves had been almost entirely eliminated from 48 states. So I think that Resources:https://www.nps.gov/yell/learn/nature/wolf-restoration.htm

"The carrying capacity is number of people, other living organisms, or crops that a region can support without environmental degradation". My prey is the elk, and coyote to the predator wolf. The elk has decreased in population from 16,791 to 8,335 in winter 1995 to winter 2004 and for the coyote.eight to nine percent of coyote deaths are from the wolf. For other animals that the coyote eats this is good.Elks mood also changes because of the wolves

the population of Elk has been 1600 elk to 500 elk it has declined very rapidly because of wolves and the wolves population has grown rapidly also. Population of moose has declined in last 40 years due to loss of old growth forests surrounding the park, hunting outside the park, burning of habitat, and predators.Willows have also been slowly growing in population and the tree itself also are getting thicker. The wolf population has been staying between 20 and 110 but closer to 110 most of the time.
info:https://www.nps.gov/yell/upload/Wolf_Report_2016.pdf

I would rather die from a predator than starvation there would be less pain, It would be like torture to die from starvation because death by starvation is long and takes all of your energy. In 1970 deer population of an island forest reserve about 518 square kilometers was about 2000 animals. Although the island had excellent vegetation for feeding, the food supply obviously had limits. The forest management personnel feared that overgrazing might lead to mass starvation. Since the area was too remote for hunters, the wildlife service decided to bring in natural predators to control the deer population. It was hoped that natural preduction would keep the deer population from becoming too large and also increase the deer quality (or health), as predators often eliminate the weaker members of the herd. In 1971, ten wolves were flown into the island. The term ecosystem describes both the living and non-living components of an area that interact with one another. All the components are inter-dependant in some way with each other. An ecosystem may be aquatic or terrestrial.
Sites: answers.yahoo.com and http://wwf.panda.org

The higher the population of wolves the more the willows there are, this happens because the wolves run the deer and elk away that eat the plants and willows. But the wolves lower the elk population because it is the wolves main food source. In 1994 Canada brought 31 wolves to Yellowstone park and in the 9900's the population of elk dropped. When scientist brought wolves to Yellowstone the population of willows slowly reclined.
