Today I will talk about the garment manufacturing process. There are many steps to make a garment manufacturing process.

First, garment factories will receive fabric from domestic and foreign textile manufacturers transported on contained.

Secondly, the fabric relaxing is performed either manually or mechanically so that fabrics can relax or contract. This step is necessary because the material is often continually under the various stages of the manufacturing process.

Third, the fabric is spread and cut into uniform layers by manual. In the fourth stage, embroidery and screen printing are both done on multiple automatic equipment according to customer specification.

And then, the sewing machine operators will sew the garment until the finished product is completed.

Next, spot-cleaning and laundry spots are usually marked and taken to a spot – cleaning area.

After that, ironing a garment is fully sewn and assembled. It is transferred to the ironing section of the facility for final pressing.

Finally, the clothes are folded, tagged, sized, packed into cardboard boxes and shipped to the customer.

There are 8 steps for sewing a simple shirt placket. There are 4 steps to sew upper part and 4 steps to sew under part. The first step to sew the upper part of the shirt placket, we need to trace the pattern on the fabric and mark the position of the lines. The second step is turning the allowance towards the wrong side of the fabric. Next, we turn the facing also in the same way from fold line i.e. to wards wrong side of fabric. And then, on the wrong side of fabric, machine stitch on the edge of facing as illustrated to finish upper part of shirt placket.

To sew under part of the shirt, we need to trace the pattern on the fabric and mark the position of all lines. The second step is turning the allowance towards the wrong side of the fabric. After that, in same way turn the facing also. Finally, from the wrong side of the fabric, machine stitch on the edge of the facing as illustrated.

As per my discussion during previous meetings with the retailers, the garment items they required are men’s shirts, jeans, T-shirts, coats and dresses. About folding the shirts, the customers said they want their shirts to be machine- folded becase it is faster than folding by hand. They also want us to include carboard and put the garments in rayon garment bags, morever, they would like their shirts to be 25 per box. About folding the dresses, they would like their dresses put the garments in floor-length plastic garment bags with about 2 per bags and hang them on fabric hangers because this helps the dresses to avoid wrinkles while transit. Beside, they told that all dresses should be delivered with hangtags.

I think the packaging shouldn’t be a problem, however the deadline is drawing near so we need to work over time.

The retailers said that they would like their Men’s shirt to be machine-folded. They also want to include in rayon garment bags. They would like their shirt to be 25 per box. They would like their jeans to be hand-folded. They also want us to include hangtags and the garments in cardboard boxes with 30 items per box. They would like their dresses to include hangtags and put the garments in floor-length plastic garment bags with fabric hangers. They would like their T-shirt to be hand-folded and 2 items per bag. They also want us to include tissue paper and put the garments in plastic garment bags. They would like their Coats to be machine-folded. They also want us to include individual rayon bags with hangtags and use straight pins for the garments.

I will talk about tips of dealing with complaints. The first tips to handle with customers’ complaints is not to put personal emotions in the way and listen to their complaints calmly. If you honestly say thank to customers’ complain, you will have the chance to listen to them more. Tip number 3 is to really hear what they are complaining for any reasons and reply that you have received the complaint. Your goal is to end the conversation with a true apology and gratitude for the customer. Say that you are sorry for the inconvenience they have experienced and grateful for their concern. After offering an apology, it’s necessary to decide and propose some ways to support your customer such as exchanging a defective item for a new one. Be flexible when customers are not happy with your proposed solution. Set a policy to give them gift cards to a local coffee shop which are provided free or at lower price for your company.

There are 4 steps to have a good presentation;

First of all, you should research your audiences. It’s a good idea to obtain some information of the backgrounds, values and the interests of your audiences; so that you can understand what the audiences might expect from your presentation.

Next, you need to define the objective of the presentation. The objective need to specify exactly what you want the listeners to get from your presentation.

After that, you should prepare the introduction and conclusion carefully. Make sure the introduction captures the attention of your audiences, the conclusion summarizes and restates your important points.

Last but not least, during your presentation, you should also use eyes contact and gestures. Eyes contact is an important key to have the audiences’ attention. Gestures consist of movement of the head, shoulder, arms, hands and so on. To be most effective, you should move your waist and elbow as well.

To prepare an effective presentation we have 5 steps. The first is to analyze your audience to get more information about their background and interests so we can understand what they need from our presentation. The second is to choose a topic that both ourselves and the audience are interested in that will make the audience more interested. The third is to define the goal of the presentation, the goal needs to be specified exactly including what you want the audience to learn from your presentation The fourth is to prepare the presentation content in order to present the idea convincingly, we need to illustrate and describe it vividly to make the audience focused more on the presentation The final step is to prepare the opening and ending. Prepare an opening that clearly states the topic and purpose of the presentation. Preparing for the conclusion is about giving the main ideas we want to convey to help me audience remember them. Besides, to present effectively, we need to pay attention to spend a lot of time preparing for the end of the presentation to emphasize the main point of presentation, this will make the audience remember longer. And we will thank the audience for listening to this presentation.
