First, i think that Coraline does not keep a eye out for things that other people told her not to get. (Page 22, Coraline went to Miss Spink and Miss Forcible's house, they told her not to wear green. Then at the store, she saw green gloves and asked to get them. She also saw a pair of green rain boots and asked to get them. Her mom said no). Secondly, she is also curious becuase she goes exploring a lot. Thirdly, i also think that she is very sneaky becuase she went through the secret door. Lastly, she was smart when her "mother" asked her to wear the button eyes and she said no. On page 30 Coraline decided to explore a mysterious door in the drawing room, when she went across the room she entered a place similar to her house but her parents had button eyes! Coraline went to miss Spink and miss Forcibles (her neighbors) show with dogs as audience and got to be a volunteer.
