This book impacted me because it was one of the first books that got me into reading. I never really read when I was younger, but this book and other Dr. Seuss books introduced me to the wonderful, creative worlds of Dr. Seuss. The funny characters, words/phrases and rhymes got me interested into reading more. This book impacted me a lot as a reader, and it is one of the reasons I still read to this day.

This book impacted me because before I had read this book, I was not familiar with the concept of being transgender. Until then, I had only thought it was just that who you were was, well, who you were. This book opened my eyes to this concept and this book allowed me to change my mindset about who people are, and overall taught me that what you see on the outside isn't always what is in front of you.

Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie is a book that tells the story of how a normal family's life got flipped upside down after Steven's brother, Jeffrey, gets diagnosed with leukemia, a type of cancer. This all started after Jeffrey fell off of a stool and gets a nosebleed that won't stop bleeding. This book impacted me because it made me more aware of the how horrible it is to have cancer. I like this because it also allows me to relate Steven's feelings to mine sometimes.

Old Yeller is a story of a boy named Travis Coates who has been left to take care of the family ranch with his mother and younger brother while his father goes off to a cattle drive. This book impacted me because this book is very different than most books that I have read. Overall, this book is a major impact in how I read today.

This book (series) impacted me because it was one of the first complicated series that I had ever read. Before, I read books that when they ended, then the story ended as well. But for Harry Potter, the story kept on going andit interested me because it was different. I could almost relate to it, even though most of what happened to Harry hadn't happened to me. This book overall was what encouraged me to continue reading and explore more books

This Is Not The End is a story about a girl named Lake, is injured in a car accident and loses her boyfriend and her best friend. But in her time, on her 18th birthday, which is a few weeks from then, she has the ability to bring someone back from the dead, but she can only bring one person back. This book impacted me because the book is really powerful and emotional and is also very interesting to read. Another twist that the book has is that she already promised to bring someone else back when they died, even though they are still alive. So if she were to bring either her friend or boyfriend back, it would be illegal.

Med-Head is a realistic fiction novel about a boy named Cory who, at the age of 5, gets diagnosed with a rare case of Tourette's Syndrome with OCD. This has led to his family stressing over his future and many years of drugs, medications, and suffering. This novel impacted me because it introduced me to some very interesting yet serious concepts that I had never really taken the time to think about before, and the book intrigued me to keep on reading. This book overall was very interesting to read and I would recommend it to everyone
