Scientists say that 100% renewable energy is possible, but, if we keep treating the earth like how we treat it now, bad things like global warming can get worse. Since it is hard to change our lifestyles straight away, we can start easily, then when we get used to our lives being the new way you go further. If everyone does that, scientists predict that we can get to 100% Renewable energy in 10-15 years.

What is the biggest expense at UWCSEA?
What makes our building energy efficient?
We are above-average on the "green school" scale, the best in SG. We have light shelves, which make sure there is light in the room so we don't need too many lights. There is double-glazed glass for the windows so the heat of the sun doesn't come into the room. The school is built long, and facing east and west, so that the sunlight doesn't shine into the windows and we don't need extra air-con. We also have air-conditioning pipes that curve gently, so we don't have to use extra electricity to move the air forward. The school is built to have the air-con to flow throughout the whole school.
How can we teach our community about the importance of saving energy?
One of the best ways are to show the people the actual features of the school and to show them the solar panels and the sustainable features the school use
Which retailer does UWCSEA get their energy from? Why this retailer?
