Yes! Here are the instructions for how to use/download the app. However, since our school is not using myON Single Sign on the username and password will be different for the tablet app vs what they login with normally. The username is found from within the myON tile and looking at the student’s information. The password will be their tablet pin that the students receive from clicking on the blue tablet icon on their home page.

If teachers want to attempt to set up parents and students with it, they are welcome to but they will need to contact Renaissance support for help with it.

Audio can be disabled per individual student, or for multiple students at once.

From your dashboard, click on Classroom > Students. Mark the box/boxes next to each student you wish to disable audio for, then click in the "Select an Action" dropdown and choose "Audio Setting." In the "Select Audio Setting" dropdown box select "Always Off." A box will appear asking you to confirm whether you want to change audio settings; select Yes

No!  The myON with STAR subscriptions allows your district to pull your students’ STAR scores from the Renaissance Site to use in myON.  This means your students wouldn’t need to (and don’t have the ability to) take in-program Lexile assessments or benchmarks.  All your students need to do is click the “Connect Now” button when they first login and enter their Renaissance Site username and Password when prompted.

The connection between myON and STAR Early Literacy is still in development, which means that your early readers will be given a generic score based on their grade levels, but teachers and parents can use the search filters in myON’s Library Search tool to help them find books within their reading levels.

The myON book quiz is an in-program five question quiz which asks general questions about the books (vocabulary, main idea, details, etc). The AR Quiz link in myON allows students to read a book in myON and then directs the students to log into the AR program to take a more in depth quiz.
