I believe that the prehistoric people painted mostly in caves because since they always stayed in their caves they had nothing else to do. They wanted the cave to feel more like home and was the place where they were able to express themselves since they didn’t have the ability to write. For them art wasn’t just art, but a way to let out how they felt, and be able to paint any animals they encountered while looking for food or any other reason.

I think the reason why prehistoric people only painted in caves because. They might have thought if they painted outside it would mess up their art work. That’s why they were probably painting in the far back of the cave. They mostly painted stuff like animals or humans. I think I am correct because there is evidence that they where painting in the fat back of the cave and I think it’s just a very good educated guess.
