https://padlet.com/rrgfportelada/nq95lsopil9fye38 Caleidoscópio ou calidoscópio (derivado das palavras gregas καλός – kalos = belo/bonito, είδος – eidos = imagem/figura, eσκοπέω – scopeο = olhar (para)/observar) é um instrumento óptico de formato cilíndrico, de cartão ou de metal, com o fundo de vidro opaco e, no seu interior, são colocados pequenos fragmentos de vidro colorido e três espelhinhos. Ao nos colocarmos diante da luz e observarmos o interior do tubo, através de um furo feito na tampa e rolando o objeto lentamente, assistimos a belos e agradáveis efeitos visuais: a cada movimento, formam-se combinações variadas de desenhos simétricos e sempre diferentes. Isso ocorre por causa do reflexo da luz exterior nos pequenos espelhos inclinados que se multiplicam e mudam de lugar a cada movimento feito pela mão. Embora o caleidoscópio tenha sido inventado para fins de estudo científico, durante muito tempo este objeto foi visto apenas como um brinquedo divertido.
