Teachers are the reason why American public schools are failing. Bad teachers = Bad results from students. It's simple. If you eliminate the bad teachers from the equation and put in decent to good teachers, you'll get better results from the students and will most likely increase the Reading and Math scores in your district, leading to the states overall success.

Teachers are the reasons that us students are not preforming as well, causing our neighborhood to fail and struggle. They are the reason we fail because teachers are granted tenure and they start to think that they do not have to teach. When granted that, teachers fail to give students their right education. From the documentary, 18% percent was the proficiency level at all schools in Alabama.

Precise claim:Teachers have a big impact on students in many ways. They're the ones who are responsible for sending students to Middle school, High school and College. When you have a ineffective teacher, it's hard for the students to gain the knowledge they need to pass on to the next grade. This is why the American Public Schools are failing. Ineffective teachers are ruining the school experience for students. In the "Waiting For Superman" documentary, they talk about a system known as "The Dance of Lemons" This system is where Tenure causes teachers not to be fired so basically they trade other terrible teachers for other terrible teachers causing a cycle. Students cant be blamed for the low proficiency rates in schools because they come there to learn. Test scores were made to determine what the student has been taught so far.
